2010 Colorado Select Boys' Tryouts

Three boys teams:
U-15 (born 1995 or later, but cannot be in high school)
U-13 (born 1997 or later) 
U-11 (born 1999 or later) 

Colorado Select will not be fielding any Girls' teams in 2010 due to the many privately sponsored opportunities.
 


 









Expectations for 2009 Colorado Select Coaches
(Boys' & Girls’ Teams)


· Colorado Select tryouts will be held on April 19, 2009 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park from 8 am – 1 pm for U-11, U-13 and U-15 Boys. U-13 and U-15 Girls teams tryouts will be held on April 19 at Cornerstone Park from 11 am -2 pm (U-13) (check in at 10.30 am) and 2-5 pm (U-15)  (check in at 1:30 pm). 
 
· Coaches may observe tryouts and meet with team afterwards (but shall NOT take part in nor influence in any way the selector/evaluator team). 
 
· Coaches will meet with their respective players and parents not later than fourteen (14) days after the Tryout date to discuss coach’s expectations for the team.  At a mutually convenient time and place, a CLF representative will organize the meeting and will meet with parents at the same meeting to discuss trip logistics. 
  
· Practices will be held beginning the week of June 2, 2009 for boys, and for girls during the week of May 18.  Coaches should expect to practice two times per week in the evening, for three weeks, with additional practice sessions as needed and subject to field availability. 
 
· Coaches will be available to fully and completely participate and travel to all tournaments for all days. 
 
· The Colorado Lacrosse Foundation will pay all travel expenses for each coach (2 per team maximum) lodging, airfare, ground transportation and food during tournament play. 
 
· Each coach will receive a $500 honorarium. 
  
· Each team will have designated chaperones, but each coach will be required to help chaperone the teams while traveling. 
 
· Coaches must have current US Lacrosse membership. 
 
· The Colorado Lacrosse Foundation will provide fields and practice equipment (balls, cones, pinnies). 
 
· The Colorado Lacrosse Foundation will make all arrangements for tournament registration, travel, accommodations, parent meetings, etc. for each team.
